PROMISS conducts ground breaking research regarding nutrition among older persons living at home. It will more especially bring evidence on:

–       The role of diet, physical activity (and their interactions) and microbiome in appetite, malnutrition and relevant clinical outcomes

–       The role of oral and gut health in appetite, malnutrition and taste/smell perception

–       The impact of persuasive technology on dietary and physical activity strategy adherence

To do so, PROMISS makes use of and build on diverse national and international research and innovation activities and knowledge, notably existing data from well-known European prospective cohort studies as well as unique complementary data from third countries (Canada and USA).
